Crest View Elementary students learn about robotics with visit from high school robotics team

High school robotics students from Saint Michael-Albertville sparked excitement and enthusiasm for robotics among Crest View Elementary School students March 19, when they visited the school for a presentation about their robotics team and a demonstration of the robot’s capabilities for each grade level.

The robotics team members explained what it was like to build their robot, named Tempo, and how they use the robot in competitions. They then gave demonstrations on how Tempo moves, turns, and collects and shoots foam rings. The students were delighted with the robot’s capabilities and asked a variety of questions about how it worked, how much it weighed, whether it could jump and more.

Phillips Corporation sponsored the visit.
