Osseo Area Schools’ Preschool and Prekindergarten Programs for the 2025-26 school year open for registration in January 2025. Programs are for children who will be three or four years-old on or before Sept. 1, 2025. Each program is designed to foster curiosity and creativity while supporting the growth of every scholar during their education journey. Visit district279.org/preschool-prek for details. 

The Crest View Elementary School gymnasium filled up quickly after school on Dec. 11, when students and their families gathered for the school’s Razzle Dazzle Reading Night event.

Throughout the months of December and January, various musical concerts will be held at schools across the district. Here's a list of upcoming performances.

After further review, the school-based health center mentioned as part of Crest View’s repurposing is going to be placed at Park Center Senior High School instead. There are a variety of reasons for this change, including easier access for more scholars and their families and a more district-centralized location. 

Community Education’s Early Childhood & Family Education catalog was recently mailed to community members in Osseo Area Schools.

Crest View Elementary School counselor MaKayla Paulson and Title I lead Stacy Harvey worked with the school’s student leadership team this fall to have two free library stands placed on school grounds for the community to enjoy. 

Garden City and Crest View elementary school students were enraptured by recent visits from the University of Minnesota’s Raptor Center, which brought some impressive animals to the school for a day of programs.
