Osseo Area Schools’ Crest View Elementary School in Brooklyn Park opened its doors as a K-5 school in 1960, and for 65 years it has been a cornerstone of the surrounding community, providing a safe, welcoming and enriching place for students to grow and thrive.

On a rainy spring evening, Crest View Elementary School’s gymnasium similarly had a springlike feel to it as the school welcomed families for a Flower Power math night event.

During the day, the bookstore at the center of Crest View Elementary School’s recent play looks like any other bookstore. But, at night, it’s a place where the characters inside the books come alive.

The Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA) recently announced their 2025 Regional Administrators of Excellence, and Osseo Area Schools’ Superintendent, Dr. Kim Hiel, has been recognized as the organization’s award winner for region nine.
